We offer a variety of different activities for women who want to be involved in an active program. We are in the process of developing more areas of service and you will be hearing more about them later.
DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES - Fall classes begin in September and Spring classes begin in January. Among the classes are: Precept on Precept, Beth Moore, Jennifer Rothschild, Angela Thomas and many more. Classes are held on Tuesday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night. All classes are Bible based and are led by experienced women from within our church.
BOOK TALK - Women who love to read meet to share thoughts and insights into fiction/non-fiction book selections by Christian authors. This is a great group where fellowship is in encouraged and relationships are built. The group meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in Room 120/121. Book Talk is an open-door group and ladies from other churches participate every month.
MISSION STITCHERS - Mission Stitchers meet the third Wednesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in Room 129. They provide articles for cancer patients, heart care patients, shut-ins, and the homebound. Some sew on machines, some press seams, some cut fabric out by patterns, and others sort and organize fabrics for the up-coming projects. Each lady has a passion to serve and the projects are an enjoyable, rewarding and fun experience.
WOMEN ON MISSION - These women are actively involved in praying for, donating to and helping to accomplish mission work. They learn about missions abroad and locally.
Missionaries are prayed for at each meeting and the members are developing spiritually toward a mission lifestyle
These women also participate in the mission work of Hot Springs Baptist Church as well as mission work within our county, state, country and world.
Women on Mission meet the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in our Fellowship Hall.
FELLOWSHIP DINNERS - What better way to fellowship than over a delicious meal? We have several opportunities throughout the year to do just that. Each dinner has a theme that is carried out from the table decorations to the food. We need volunteers to help in numerous ways: selling tickets, decorating, cooking, serving, cleaning afterwards and several others areas. RETREATS - We are currently planning a retreat for September 21-22, 2012 at Springlake Camp. Our theme is "Filled to Overflowing" and we look forward to seeing women's lives changed through God's Word. Volunteers are need for the retreat. If you are interested in helping some of the needs are: general helpers, prayer team, and registration. More on the retreat in days to come.
